Bombay or Karachi halwa, is a very famous sweet dish, made of corn flour, sugar & ghee. It is very delicious too

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Corn flour 1/2 cup
  2. Water 1cup
  3. Sugar 1 1/4 cups
  4. Water 1/2 cup
  5. Cardomom powder 2 pinch
  6. Ghee 2 to 3 tbsp
  7. Colour as per your choice

Instructions

  1. Mix cornflour with 1 cup of water. Heat a pan ,put sugar and required water,let it dissolve.
  2. Add corn flour mix, colour & cardamom powder. Keep on stirring, without any break, or else it will curdle.
  3. In between add ghee, 1 tbsp at a time. Keep on stirring, till it becomes a transparent tough dough.
  4. Transfer to a greased plate. Cool. Cut into pieces.
