ABOUT Rawa Vada. RECIPE

Rawa vada is made in many ways, in different states of India. This is a good snack, that can be taken in breakfast or as an evening snack.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Rawa or suji 1 cup
  2. Curd 3/4 cup
  3. Baking soda 1/4 tsp
  4. Onion 1
  5. Green chillies 2
  6. Pepper corns 4 or 5
  7. Salt
  8. curry leaves
  9. oil to fry

Instructions

  1. Chop onion,chillies & curry leaves.
  2. Mix rawa & curd,add all the other ingredients,except oil. Make a dough. Keep for 15 min.
  3. The dough will be a bit runny in consistency. Heat oil. apply water on hands, take a big ball from the dough and flatten it. Make a hole in the middle. Deep fry.
  4. Apply water in your hands , while making vadas. Serve hot with coconut chutney. (you get 7 to 8 vadas from this quantity of mixture)
