This is an ancient Maharastian recipe. A delicious sweet, that can be stored for a few days in an airtight container.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Red pumpkin 2 cups,grated.
  2. Jaggery grated 1/2 cup
  3. Wheat flour or rice flour 1/2 cup
  4. Ghee 2tsp
  5. Salt a pinch
  6. Cardamom powder 1/4 tsp

Instructions

  1. Add salt to grated pumpkin. Mix, then add jaggery. Mix well and don't add water
  2. Then take rice or wheat flour. knead well using ghee. Make a soft dough. Keep for 15 min.
  3. Put oil in a pan, when hot, make small balls from the dough. Roll into small puris with hands. Apply ghee on hands.
  4. Deep fry. When golden brown, transfer to a plate.
  5. When cold, store in an airtight container.
