Tomato 4 large size, without the skin and seed, crushed
Olive oil 3-4 tbsp
Basil leaves 5-6 nos
Dry oregano 1/2 tsp
Bay leaf 2
Water as required
Salt and pepper to taste
Wine 1 cup
Tomato paste 2 tbsp
Worcestershire sauce 3 tbsp
Instructions
Heat oil, then add in the minced meat and saute for 4-5 minutes while breaking all the lumps on a medium-high heat. Then keep it aside.
To the remaining oil, add in the onion, carrot, celery and garlic. Saute until the colour changes slightly.
Now add in the tomato paste, herbs, meat, tomatoes and saute for 3-4 minutes.
Add wine on a high heat and reduce it. Then add in the worcestershire sauce, water and simmer for 35-45 minutes on a low heat to infuse all the flavours in the sauce.
Boil the pasta in salt water till it's al dente as per the package instructions. Then drain it well and add it to the sauce. Adjust the seasoning as per taste.
Garnish with grated parmesan cheese and basil. Serve it hot.
