Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Sooji/Semolina/Rawa- 1 cup
  2. Besan/Chickpea flour- 1/2 cup
  3. Red chilli powder- 1/2 tsp
  4. Salt as per taste
  5. Carrot grated- 1 cup
  6. Radish grated- 1 cup
  7. Chopped green/red chillies- 1
  8. Garam masala- 1/2 tsp
  9. Carom seeds/ Ajwain- 1/2 tsp (optional)
  10. Cumin seeds/ Jeera - 1/2 tsp
  11. Oil- 1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Mix the sooji, besan with salt, red chilli powder and garam masala to make a batter using little water at a time. Add a tsp of oil as well to this batter. (you can add curd as well). The batter should not be too runny.
  2. Add in the chopped green/red chillies, grated radish and carrot. Then add in the carom and cumin. Mix it well and let the batter rest for 10-15 mins.
  3. Heat a dosa/nonstick tawa. Pour some drops of oil to heat and pour in the batter. Spread the batter in a circular manner and let it become a bit thicker.
  4. When cooked from one side, flip it. Keep the flame on low and cook the other side as well.
  5. Once it turns into a golden color, serve it hot with any chutney sauce of your choice.
