ABOUT Honey Chilli Crispy Chicken RECIPE

This is the most delicious Chinese side dish which is prepared in a jiffy and a perfect dish for all. It's crisp melts in your mouth.

Ingredients Serving: 4

Chicken boneless 1/2 kg
Egg 1
1 tsp each of star anise, cloves, cinnamon stick, fennel seeds, black pepper, all roasted and grounded (5 spice powder)
Cornflour 3 tbsp
Salt as per taste
Red chilli paste 1 tbsp
Oil for frying
Garlic finely cut 2 tsp
Sesame seeds to sprinkle 1 tbsp
Dried red chillies 3 to 4
Soya sauce 1 tsp
Honey 1 tbsp
Green onion leaves 2 tbsp, finely cut

Instructions

First of all, cut the chicken into thin thread pieces.
In a pan, roast the sesame seeds and keep it aside.
Marinate the chicken with the egg, cornflour, salt, red chilli paste and five spice powder.
Fry the chicken in hot oil till it's crispy. Then remove and keep them aside.
In a wok, heat some oil, then add the chopped garlic, dry red chilli, soya sauce ,honey, red chilli paste, light soya sauce and a bit of five spice powder and salt.
Finally add the chicken and vinegar, finish it off with sesame seeds and green onion leaves.
