ABOUT Khajoor Ki Barfi RECIPE

A quick and easy Indian dessert made with dates and dry fruits.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Khajoor (dates)- 200 gm
  2. Cashew nuts- 20 gm
  3. Almonds- 20 gm
  4. Figs- 20 gm
  5. Coconut powder- 50 gm
  6. Poppy seeds (khuskhus)- 20 gm
  7. Walnuts- 10 gm
  8. Pistachios- 10 gm
  9. Oil 2 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. First of all deseed the khajoors and chop them with a knife. Also finely chop all the dry fruits.
  2. In a frying pan, heat 2 tablespoon of oil and add in the chopped khajoor. Saute and cook till they become tender and soft.
  3. Now simmer the flame and add in all the chopped dry fruits. Saute for a minute.
  4. Next add in the poppy seeds and half of the coconut powder. Mix it well.
  5. Now take out the mixture on a plate and let it cool for 5 minutes.
  6. Take a piece of aluminium foil and put the mixture on it, then roll it and place it in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
  7. After 2 hours, take it out and cut into roundles.
  8. Garnish with coconut powder and serve.
