Buns stuffed with a potato and chickpeas filling. An awesome healthy filling Sunday brunch!
Heat oil in a wok. Add in the cumin seeds and mustard seeds.
Once it splutters, add in the ginger paste. Saute this for a few seconds.
Dissolve in the red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder in 2 tbsp water and add it to the wok.
Once the masala is roasted, add in the boiled and mashed potatoes with boiled chickpeas. Add in the salt and mix it well by mashing the potatoes and chickpeas together.
Roast it for 3-4 minutes till the roasted aroma releases. Add in the chaat masala, chopped coriander leaves and mix it well together. Next remove it from the heat and let it cool.
Take a bun and poke your thumb in the center of the bun. Now press the fluff of the bun with the help of your thumb towards the wall of the bun, by giving support to your fingers from the outside. (Do this patiently so as not to break the bun. You can feel the cavity inside the bun.)
Take a little stuffing and fill it into the hole with your finger. First press it inside, then shift it towards the wall. Fill the whole bun by inserting small portions again and again. Do n0t over fill or else the bun will break. Fill all the buns in a similar manner.
Grease with butter all over. Then air fry these buns for 7-8 minutes. Once again apply butter on the top and let them sit for a minute.
Cut each bun into four parts. Then top it with chopped onions, sev and ketchup.
