Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Cocoa powder 2 tsp
  2. Grated fresh coconut 1 cup
  3. All purpose flour 1 cup
  4. Baking Powder 1 Tsp
  5. powdered sugar 3/4 cup
  6. Milk 4 tbsp (optional)
  7. Butter 100gm
  8. Cardamom powder 1/2 tsp
  9. Almonds 1/4 cup

Instructions

  1. Beat butter and the sugar well until creamy.
  2. Add the dry ingredients and make a smooth dough out of it.
  3. If you feel the mixture is dry, add milk otherwise avoid adding it.
  4. You should be able to form small balls easily without breaking.
  5. Flatten the balls a little and make a dent in the middle. Press an almond each in them.
  6. Bake in a preheated fan assisted oven on 180° for 15 mins.
  7. Preheat the oven to atleast 12 mins prior to the baking and during this time, you can make the nan khatai easily.
  8. After done, let them cool down a bit before serving.
  9. Store them in airtight containers and enjoy them at tea time or practically at any time you wish to.
