ABOUT Indian rice Kheer parfait RECIPE

It is a three layered ( rice kheer, kalakad and mini gulab jum) sweet of indian style.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1/2 cup kawon (small grain with typical smell) rice
  2. 750ml Full fat milk
  3. 1 cup nolen (made of date nectar)gud
  4. For kalakad-
  5. 1/2 liter Full fat milk
  6. 1 tsp Lemon juice
  7. 3 tbsp sugar
  8. 1/2 tsp cardamom 2
  9. For gulabjamun-
  10. 1/4 cup cottage cheese
  11. 1/2 cup Khoya
  12. 1 1/2 cup sugar syrup
  13. 1 tbsp maida
  14. 1/2 tsp Cardamom powder

Instructions

  1. Boil the milk till reduced to a quarter portion.
  2. Wash the rice and soak for 30 minutes.
  3. Add the rice in to the boiled milk and continue to cook until rice is soft and thick.
  4. Now add nolen gud and switch off the gas.
  5. Same time you can prepare kalakad also
  6. Another pan boil the 1/2liter milk and reduce to make half.
  7. Add lemon juice for curdling the milk .
  8. Don't make chhana or paneer.
  9. Just half curdle.
  10. Continue to cook to make it thick.
  11. Add sugar and cardamom powder.
  12. Your kalakad is ready.
  13. Mix cottage cheese, khoya and maida to make a soft dough.
  14. Divide into small balls.
  15. Deep fry the balls on low flame till golden brown.
  16. Dip into sugar syrup for 20 to 30 minutes.
  17. Now arrange the dessert.
  18. Pour rice kheer for the bottom layer, afterwards kalakad and on top put one gulabjamun.
  19. Ready to serve.
