Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Green banana 2
  2. Channa dal 1/2 cup
  3. Raw rice 1/4cup
  4. Dry chilly 2
  5. Hing powder 1 pinch
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Fresh haldi root 1 small piece
  8. Oil for Deep frying
  9. Chat masala

Instructions

  1. Peel banana skin and cut into 1/4th thick long pieces, about 4 to 5 pieces per banana.
  2. Place them in salted water to prevent oxidising.
  3. Grind the pre soaked rice and dal, along with dry chilly, hing, salt and finely chopped haldi root, to a coarse batter.
  4. Heat oil in a kadai and dip each banana in the batter, deep fry into crisp fritters.
  5. Serve as a side dish with mid meal or as an evening snack.
