ABOUT Sooji idiyappam RECIPE

Sooji idiyappam is one of the easiest way of making idiyappam, when you are bit lazy in the morning time, yet you wish to prepare some unique dish for your family, prepare this quickly and get appreciated.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Rava - 1 cup (sooji)
  2. Water - 2 cups
  3. Salt to taste
  4. Ghee as required

Instructions

  1. Boil two cups of water. Add salt and ghee to the sooji and add hot water nearly one and half cups to the sooji and mix with a spatula. Water will be absorbed soon, you can add more water if needed. (I added 3/4 cup of more water).
  2. knead them together applying little oil or ghee in your hands. Then transfer it in an idiyappam presser and press.
  3. Steam it for 10 minutes, serve hot.
