Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 2 cups maida (All purpose flour)
  2. 2 tbsp gram flour
  3. 1 tsp sugar
  4. salt as per taste
  5. 1 cup sour curd
  6. 1 onion, finely chopped
  7. 3 green chillies
  8. 1 inch ginger piece
  9. Curry leaves 15
  10. 1 sachet Eno powder
  11. Water as required

Instructions

  1. In a bowl mix curd, salt and sugar.
  2. Add in maida and gramflour. Mix slightly.
  3. Add 1/2 cup water. Keep mixing so there are no lumps.
  4. Add finely chopped onion, chilli, ginger and curry leaves.
  5. Mix well and let it rest for 1 hour.
  6. Heat sufficient oil in a pan, on a medium flame.
  7. Add the Eno powder and 1 tbsp water in the batter. Give it a good mix.
  8. Take marble/goli sized batter in your fingertips and just push the batter down the hot oil.
  9. Keep stirring and fry the balls till golden brown.
  10. Serve with coconut chutney or ketchup.
