ABOUT Hyderabadi Aaloo Gosht RECIPE

It's an all time favourite dish. Made in every hydi household. Loved by everyone for it's taste and beautiful combination of mutton and potatoes.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Mutton bone in 500gm
  2. Potatoes 250gm
  3. Onions about 3 finely sliced
  4. Oil about 2 to 3 tbsp
  5. Chilli powder a tbsp or more
  6. garam masala a tsp
  7. Ginger garlic paste fresh a tbsp
  8. Green chillies slit in the center about 5
  9. Coriander roasted and powdered a tbsp
  10. Cumin roasted and powdered a tsp
  11. Coriander leaves finely chopped
  12. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash and pressure cook the mutton with all the masalas until done along with oil
  2. Saute the onions and the masalas well before putting on the lid of the cooker
  3. Wash and peel the potatoes and cut into cubes
  4. After the mutton is done, add the potatoes and simmer on low flame
  5. Garnish with coriander and serve hot with plain rice or naan
  6. You can adjust the consistency of the gravy according to your liking
