ABOUT Custard With A Twist RECIPE

A dessert prepared with slight variation to the popular custard.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 litre of Milk
  2. 4 tbsp custard powder
  3. 3 tbsp sugar
  4. 2 tbsp colored or white vermicelli
  5. Instant Jelly 1 packet (Any flavour)
  6. Whipped cream to decorate, optional

Instructions

  1. Separate 200 ml milk from the 1 litre and boil the rest.
  2. Add the vermicelli and cook in a slow fire till it softens. Mix the custard to the 200 ml of milk and add it to the boiling milk and vermicelli.
  3. Add sugar and cook it further for 2 more minutes. Then turn off the flame. Then let it cool completely and refrigerate it.
  4. Prepare the jelly according to the instructions on the packet. Then pour the jelly over the custard and refrigerate until the jelly sets on the custard.
  5. Decorate with whipped cream as you like. Serve it cold to enjoy!
