ABOUT Custard Dry Fruits Cake RECIPE

A very soft sponge cake that is best for tea time.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 2 cups all purpose flour
  2. 2 tbsp custard powder
  3. 1 tsp baking powder
  4. 1/2 tsp baking soda
  5. 2 tsp vinegar
  6. 1 tin milkmaid (condensed milk)
  7. 4 tbsp sugar
  8. 2 tbsp homemade cream (malai)
  9. 1 tsp vanilla essence
  10. 1 cup dry fruits (almonds, cashew nuts, pistachios), chopped
  11. 3 tbsp oil
  12. 2 tbsp butter
  13. Milk as required

Instructions

  1. Sift the all purpose flour, custard powder, baking powder, baking soda, twice and keep it aside.
  2. Preheat a kadai or oven.
  3. Grease the baking mould with oil.
  4. Mix the butter, sugar, milkmaid, vanilla essence, oil, malai and vinegar together. Then add the dry mixture and mix it well, if you feel the mixture is too thick, you can add a little water. Next, add half of the dry fruits and mix it well together.
  5. Pour this cake batter into a baking mould and tap it. Then spread the left over dry fruits on top.
  6. Bake in a kadai for 30 minutes.

hello alka your recipe is amazing i made it but my cake was in rectangular mould i baked it at 170degree for 25 mins some it got dark from the top and the base was uncooked the side peripheral was cooked well so pl gyide me where could i have done the mistake i used the new usha glass oven or the usha airfryer
