ABOUT Paneer Butter Masala RECIPE

Paneer butter masala, a mouth melting creamy and delicious dish with the richness of cashews, butter and fresh cream. It goes well with butter naan.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 200 gms paneer cubes
  2. 1 tbsp oil
  3. 1 and 1/2 tbsp butter
  4. 1 and 1/2 tbsp fresh cream
  5. 2 tomatoes
  6. 2 green chillies
  7. 1 inch ginger
  8. 1 and 1/2 tbsp soaked cashews
  9. 1 tsp dhaniya/coriander powder
  10. 1/2 tsp garam masala
  11. 1/3 tsp haldi/tumeric powder
  12. 1 tsp kasoori methi
  13. 1 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
  14. 1/2 tsp honey
  15. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Take a non-stick pan add oil and butter to it. Once the butter starts melting, add the fine paste of ginger, tomatoes, green chillies and cashews. Cook it for a few mins.
  2. Add the haldi/turmeric powder, dhaniya/ coriander powder and garam masala. Add salt and cook for a few mins, then add fresh cream, red chilli powder, butter and cook it again for a few mins.
  3. When it starts leaving oil, add 1/2 cup of water and bring it to boil. Then add the paneer cubes and kasoori methi.
  4. Once you get a thick gravy with a good aroma, add in honey and cook it only for 3-4 seconds, then turn off the stove.
  5. Garnish it with chopped coriander and serve it hot with butter naan.
