Dal pakwan is a dish which belong to Sindhi cuisine. Kids like colours that's why I use three colour for making pakwan, green colour comes from spinach and red colour comes from beetroot and yellow colour from turmeric powder. Let's know how to make?
First wash mung Dal and chana dal.
In a cooker add moong dal and chana dal,salt,turmeric powder and one teaspoon clarified butter.
Add some water and boil it till two whistle.
In other hand take a big plate add refined flour,semolina and salt.
Divide this mixture in 3 part.
In first part add spinach puree and some water, kneed a tight dough.
In second part add beetroot puree and some water, kneed a tight dough.
In third part mix turmeric powder, kneed tight dough with using water.
Now make oval shape with these three parts.
Joint the oval shapes.
Cut small pedas with this roll.
Roll it like thin Puri.
Prick it with using fork.
In a wok hot oil.
Fry these pakwan on medium heat till crispy.
Now for dal tadka heat a pan add clarified butter.
Splutter cumeen seeds and asafoetida.
Switch off the flame, mix red chilli powder and garam masala powder.
Mix this tadka in boil dal.
Fry papad in hot oil.
For serving take Dal in a bowl and put some onion and green chilli over it.
Tricolour pakwan serve with Dal,papad, chutney and mooli lachha.
