ABOUT Dulce De Leche Chocolate Truffles RECIPE

Dulce de leche is caramelized condensed milk. It has a toffee flavour jam that is popular in Latin American countries. It is used mostly in cakes, cookies, waffles and as a spread.

Ingredients Serving: 7

  1. Dulce de leche 3 tbsp
  2. Hazelnuts 25 gm
  3. Dates 7-8
  4. Wafer balls 10 gm
  5. Valhora 72% cocoa Chocolate 50 gm
  6. Bittersweet chocolate for coating

Instructions

  1. Blend hazelnuts and pitted dates in a blender.
  2. Melt the valhora chocolate in a double boiler or in a microwave.
  3. Add wafer crisps to the nut mixture. Mix dulce de leche and chocolate with the nut mixture.
  4. Make the bite sized balls and refrigerate it for 30 mins.
  5. Melt the dark compound using a double boiler or microwave.
  6. Keep a tray lined with parchment paper ready to place the truffles.
  7. Dip the balls in melted chocolate and sprinkle chopped nuts or salt. (Sea Salt gives a different flavour.)
