It is a complete dish consist of Proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins and as it is also very much yummy,so kids will definitely enjoy this funny looking and nutritious dish.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. For Chinese tikka:
  2. 8 pieces of chicken boneless cubes
  3. 12 pieces of onion cubes
  4. 12 pieces of red capsicum cubes
  5. 12 pieces of green capsicum cubes
  6. 1 tbsp soya sauce
  7. 1 tsp tomato sauce
  8. 1/4 tsp chilli sauce (optional)
  9. 1 tsp cornflour
  10. 1 tsp vinegar
  11. salt as per taste
  12. 1 tsp sesame oil
  13. 1 tbsp oil ,for grilling
  14. 4 nos skewers sticks,dip in water for 20 minutes
  15. For stir fry vegetables:
  16. 2 cups vegetables (carrots, beans, cabbage, sweet corn, capsicum, onion),cut into small pieces
  17. 1/2 TSP CHOPPED GINGER
  18. 1 tsp chopped garlic
  19. 1/4 tsp black pepper powder
  20. Salt to taste
  21. 1 tsp soya sauce
  22. 1/2 tsp cornflour
  23. 1 tbsp oil
  24. For rice balls:
  25. 3 cups boiled basmati rice, smashed it slightly
  26. 1 tbsp oil
  27. 1 tsp chopped garlic
  28. 1/2 TSP CHOPPED GINGER
  29. 1 tsp chopped onion
  30. 1 tbsp chopped green capsicum
  31. 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  32. Salt to taste
  33. 1 tsp soya sauce
  34. 6-7 small pieces red capsicum, for garnishing
  35. 8 whole black pepper,for garnishing
  36. For salad:
  37. 6-8 nos carrot sticks
  38. 6-8 nos beetroot sticks
  39. 6-8 nos cucumber sticks

Instructions

  1. For Chinese tikka: In a bowl mix chicken cubes, onion cubes, capsicum (red, green) cubes , Soya sauce,tomato sauce, chilli sauce, vinegar, cornflour, salt (as required ), sesame oil and marinate for 20-25 minutes.
  2. Now thread red capsicum, green capsicum, onion, chicken in the skewer sticks (as pic below)
  3. Heat non-stick pan,brush oil and grill tikkas from all sides, Chinese tikkas are ready.
  4. For stir fry vegetables: in a bowl mix cornflour and soya sauce with 2 tbsp of water , keep aside.
  5. Heat oil in a pan,add chopped garlic and ginger,saute it.
  6. Add all vegetables ,fry it in high flame for 2 minutes,then add black pepper powder, salt (as required) and cornflour-soyasauce mixture , cook it for 3-4 minutes,stir fry vegetables are ready.
  7. For Chinese ball: heat oil in a pan,add chopped garlic, chopped ginger, saute it ;then add chopped onion , chopped capsicum black pepper powder, salt and cook it till onions become translucent.
  8. Now add boiled rice, soya sauce, saute it for couple of minutes, check seasoning and put off the flame.
  9. Shape like balls (as desired size)with rice , make eyes with black pepper , beaks and mohawks with red capsicum , such that finally it looks like a chick. Serve hot with Chinese tikkas,stir fried vegetables and salad in a complete platter.
