This North Indian recipe is perfect for the nutrition-conscious people. It is perfect to serve on the occasions like kitty party, buffet, and get-together and even during festivals. Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For Kheer: ¼ Cup Brown Rice
  2. 2 Cups Full-fat Milk
  3. ½ cup sugar
  4. 1 tsp cardamom powder
  5. For Chocolate Truffle: ¾ Cup Dark Chocolate, finely Chopped
  6. ¾ Cup Fresh Cream
  7. 1 tbsp Butter
  8. Other Ingredients: Few cookies crushed

Instructions

  1. Rinse and soak the brown rice for 30 mins.
  2. Heat milk in a pot and bring it to a boil.
  3. In another pot, add 4 cups water and bring it to a boil.
  4. Add the soaked rice and cook it till ¼ done.
  5. Drain the water and add rice to the milk.
  6. Cook on medium flame till the rice is cooked.
  7. Add sugar and cardamom powder and cook for 3-4 mins.
  8. Remove from flame and keep the kheer aside to cool.
  9. Once it’s cooled to room temperature, refrigerate till we prepare the chocolate truffle.
  10. For chocolate truffle, heat cream on low flame till bubbles form around the edges of the pot.
  11. Bring it to a light boil.
  12. Switch off the flame.
  13. Add chocolate and whisk till there are no lumps.
  14. Let cool to room temperature.
  15. Then refrigerate for 10 mins.
  16. To serve, take shot glasses and add crushed cookies at the bottom of the glass.
  17. Follow up with some chocolate truffle. For the last layer pour kheer.
  18. Sprinkle some cocoa powder and garnish with chocolate cigars.
  19. Serve chilled to kiddos.
