Kids will love this sweet rice and is a healthy one too that can be whipped up easily anytime. This aromatic and flavourful rice is definitely a treat to our tastebuds. Many people also use jaggery in order to make it more healthy. Either ways it tastes great. A splendid idea to relish simple homemade dessert that is traditional as well as easy too. Cook rice Al dente and set aside.
In a kadhai, add ghee and the cloves, cardamom pods and cinnamon sticks.
Next add dry sliced coconut.
Fry them for a minute until a bit browned.
Now add slivered dry fruits and raisins.
Fry them all for a minute.
Now add milk and allow it to boil.
Next, add khoya and sugar along with the food colour.
Allow it to cook until a bit thickened.
Finally add cooked rice to it.
Mix well and serve hot as an excellent aftermeal dessert to your loved ones and friends.
