Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Shallots 15 number
  2. Mango pieces (not so sour) 8 number
  3. Chilly powder 4 teaspoon
  4. Coriander powder 2 teaspoon
  5. Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
  6. Tamarind a small gooseberry size or 1 kudampuli
  7. Curry leaves
  8. Green chilly 2 number
  9. Coconut milk thick from 1 coconut
  10. Thin milk 1 cup
  11. Mustard seed 1/2 teaspoon
  12. Fenugreek seeds 1/4 teaspoon
  13. Coconut oil 2 tablespoons

Instructions

  1. Mix mango pieces with 1/2 teaspoon chilly powder, 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder and salt
  2. Keep the mixture to marinate for 15 minutes
  3. In a kadai add sliced shallots 10 number
  4. Add crushed ginger, slit green chillies,chilly powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder salt curry leaves and oil
  5. Mix thoroughly with fingers by crushing shallots with fingers
  6. Add thin coconut milk and boil it
  7. While boiling add marinated mangoes
  8. Cook till oil seperates
  9. Add thick milk and heat it and switch off flame
  10. In a pan add oil, mustard seed and fenugreek seeds
  11. Add sliced shallots and fry it in low flame
  12. Add it to gravy
  13. Serve hot with hot rice
