ABOUT Winter fresh green garlic pulao RECIPE

Green garlics are mostly available in winter season. Garlic can controls the LDL level in blood and lowers the risk of heart diseases. I just love the flavour of this pulao because of garlic smell and it also retains the goodness of garlic leaves.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Basmati rice-1 cup
  2. Green garlic leaves-1.5 cup
  3. Splited cashew nuts-8-10
  4. Oil -2 tsp
  5. Water-2 cup
  6. Cumin seeds-1/2 tsp
  7. Chilli-2

Instructions

  1. First of all prepare the rice by adding rice, water with a tsp of oil and a pinch of salt in pressure cooker and keep them aside.
  2. Then wash and chopped the green garlic leaves.
  3. In a pan add the remaining half (1 tsp) of oil and then add the cumin seeds in it.
  4. When they crackle then add the cashew nuts,garlic leaves in it.
  5. Saute it for 1 minute and then add the rice with salt and mix it well.
  6. Cook it for another 2 minutes and switch off the flame and then your green garlic rice is now ready to serve.
  7. Serve hot with any curry or raita.
