ABOUT Oats Butter Upma RECIPE

Soft breakfast Oats roasted and made with butter, saute veggies. Relish and enjoy for breakfast and or brunch.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 100 grams Quakers white Oats
  2. 75 grams butter (Amul butter)
  3. One carrot
  4. 1 boil potato
  5. Half cup boiled peas
  6. 1 Onion (optional)
  7. 1 tomato
  8. Salt to taste
  9. 1/2 tspn of cumin powder
  10. 1/2 tspn Red Chilli powder
  11. Mustard seeds /Rai 1/2 tsp
  12. curry leaves
  13. 1-2 green chillies optional
  14. Coriander leaves

Instructions

  1. Run clean water over Oats and keep in a mesh.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp butter in a non stick pan
  3. Add mustard seeds /rai and let them splutter
  4. Add the curry leaves now
  5. Add onion chopped fine (optional)
  6. Add tomato chopped fine too
  7. Add salt, red chilli and cumin powder to the onion tomato and saute
  8. Add boiled potatoes and peas
  9. To this add a glass of water
  10. Cook on slow till Oats and veggies soften well
  11. Put a dollop of Butter in the center of the hot Oats
  12. Garnish with coriander leaves
