Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 cups besan (chickpea/gram flour)
  2. 1 cup grated beetroot -- DO NOT STRAIN WATER
  3. 1 cup finely chopped spinach
  4. 1 tbsp grated ginger
  5. 1 teaspoon chopped green chilies
  6. Pinch of asfoetida
  7. 2-3 tbsp fresh chopped coriander
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Water to make dosa batter consistency

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients in a bowl. Add water and mix well till it comes to a dosa batter like consistency. The color should be consistently and pinkish due to beetroot.
  2. Put a non stick pan on medium heat.
  3. Put 1 tbsp oil on heated pan and coat the pan evenly.
  4. Take 1 ladle of batter and spread evenly on the pan.
  5. Cook both sides. Use oil if the chilla sticks to the pan.
  6. Serve hot with any chutney/sauce!

Looks colorful! Tried it and it does taste like an unconventional beetroot dish.
