Bengali Chirer Pulao or Bengali Style Vegetable Poha.A great and easy breakfast recipe.Any other nuts,cheese can be added as per taste.Vegetables like cauliflower or bell peppers can also enhance the taste.

Ingredients Serving: 1

  1. 1/2 cup Poha or Chire
  2. 1/4 tsp salt
  3. 1 small onion chopped
  4. 1 small potato cut into cubes
  5. 2 green chillies chopped
  6. Pepper and lemon
  7. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  8. 1/4 tsp red chilly powder
  9. 1/4 tsp coriander chopped
  10. Chat masala (optional)
  11. 8-10 cashews
  12. 6-7 raisins
  13. 1/4 cup coconut powder

Instructions

  1. Soak 1/2 cup Poha in water for 6-7 minutes.
  2. Put 3-4 tsp of olive oil in a flat pan.Once the oil is hot,add 1/4 tsp salt,1/4 tsp kalonji.
  3. Cut 1 small potato into small cubes and fry it for 3-4 minutes,till it becomes soft.
  4. Add 1/4 cup chopped onions and fry it.
  5. Add 1/4 tsp turmeric powder and 1/4 tsp red chilly powder.
  6. Add 1/4 cup frozen green peas
  7. Fry it well.Add two chopped green chillies.
  8. Add 8-10 chopped cashews and 6-7 raisins.
  9. stain the water from Poha and add it to the pan
  10. Add 1/4 cup coconut powder.
  11. Add 1/4 tsp chopped coriander,sprinkle black pepper and serve hot .
