ABOUT Methi Mathree RECIPE

Methi Mathree is a traditional breakfast in Haryana. It is served with hot milk tea. Kids love it when they go to school.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Refiend flour 2 cup
  2. Oil 1/4 cup
  3. Carom Seeds 1/4 Tsp
  4. Fenugreek Leaves 1/4 Cup
  5. Salt 1/4 Tsp

Instructions

  1. Mix refiend flour, carom seeds, salt and oil.
  2. Now add fenugreek leaves and mix well.
  3. Make a tight dough with lukewarm water.
  4. Cover it with wet cotton cloth and keep it aside for 10 minute.
  5. After 10 minutes mash again.
  6. Make small balls from dough.
  7. Spread it with a rolling pin.
  8. It should be thick.
  9. Dig this chapati with a fork, so that it must not be a ball.
  10. Heat oil in a frying pan or kadhayi on medium flame.
  11. Put 3-4 chapati in oil for frying.
  12. Fry them till they became light golden brown.
  13. When you fry all the mathri let them cool on room temperature.
  14. Now store them in a air tight container for 1 month.
