ABOUT Seviyan Payesh (Vermicelli Pudding) RECIPE

Pudding made with sewain and cashew nuts.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Milk 1 liter
  2. Sewain 100 gms
  3. Ghee 1 - 2 tbsp
  4. Sugar 150 gm
  5. Condensed milk 100 gms
  6. Raisin 2 tablespoons
  7. Cashew nuts 2 tablespoons
  8. Bay leaves 5

Instructions

  1. Fry the cashew nuts in ghee till they are brown.
  2. Soak the raisin in water.
  3. Fry the sewain in ghee till they are golden brown.
  4. Boil the milk in that same pan with bay leaves on a really mild flame for 40 minutes.
  5. Add sugar, condensed milk and boil the milk for 5 minutes more.
  6. Turn off the gas and add the cashew nuts and raisins.
  7. When the milk is luke warm add the fried sewain and stir the whole thing.
  8. Serve it. Tastes best chilled.
