ABOUT Tang Kaju Burfi RECIPE

Tang is a fruit flavored instant drink from America . Most of us have drank tang and felt refreshing during summers . How about eating Tang in the form of Desi Burfi. Believe me . Its unbelievably yum . So no more drinking .. Get ready to eat these instant Tang Burfi.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Orange Tang powder 1/4 cup
  2. Cashew powder 1 cup
  3. Milk 1/2 cup
  4. Brown sugar 1/4 cup
  5. Condensed milk 2 tablespoons
  6. Mawa 1/2 cup
  7. Ghee 2 tablespoons
  8. Cardamom powder 1/4 teaspoon
  9. Pistachios sliced for garnishing 2 tablespoons

Instructions

  1. In a wide nonstick pan , take tang powder .
  2. Add fine brown sugar .
  3. Pour in the milk and mix to a smooth lumpfree solution . Solution shouldnt be too watery nor tight .A dissolved state is fine.
  4. Now place the pan on the stove . Switch on the stove . Keep stirring the tang solution in low heat .
  5. When solution bubbles out , add the condensed milk .
  6. Then add the cashew powder.
  7. Add in the mawa.
  8. Keep mixing the ingredients well in low heat until well combined .
  9. Keep stirring every 2 minutes until the solution firms and rolls over the spatula .
  10. Add ghee gradually and mix to get a nonsticky one mass consistency .
  11. Pour in the firmed solution in a greased square/ rectangular tray . Spread evenly and level the surface .
  12. Sprinkle sliced pistachios .
  13. Allow to cool .Then freeze for 10 minutes .
  14. Cut into burfis .
  15. Tang Kaju Burfi is ready to serve .
  16. Store the remaining burfis in the fridge for the best taste.
