ABOUT Egg Falafel Devil RECIPE

This is a scrumptious fusion of egg devil and falafel.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. dried chickpeas - 3/4 cup
  2. finely chopped onion - 1/2 cup
  3. chopped coriander leaves - 2-3 tablespoon
  4. chopped garlic - 1 tbsp
  5. fresh lemon juice - 1 tbsp
  6. mustard oil - 1 tbsp
  7. cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  8. coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  9. salt - as per your taste
  10. baking powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  11. boiled egg - 6
  12. oil - for deep frying

Instructions

  1. wash and soak the chickpeas for 18 to 24 hours. **to get better results soak for 48 hours.**
  2. drain the chickpeas.
  3. place that drained chickpeas, onions, garlic, coriander leaves, mustard oil, lemon juice, cumin powder, coriander powder and salt in a large bowl.
  4. everything mix well.
  5. transfer to a food processor and pulse until the chickpeas are finally chopped. **you can use a mixer grinder or blender as well.**
  6. sprinkle the baking powder over the mixture and mix well.
  7. get ready a plate lining with a baking paper and set aside.
  8. take a little portions of falafel onto your hand and flatten a bit.
  9. put an egg over it.
  10. now place another little portions of falafel on top of that egg.
  11. carefully cover the egg with the mixture and try to give a shape of an real egg and put onto the prepared plate.
  12. make all of the falafels and freeze them for 15-20 minutes.
  13. heat oil over medium heat for deep frying.
  14. carefully drop the falafel into the hot oil and fry them on low medium heat until turn into golden brown from all sides.
  15. Remove from oil and place them onto a kitchen towel paper to absorb the extra oil.
  16. Enjoy with salads and favourite sauce.
