ABOUT Apple Beetroot Carrot Halwa RECIPE

Vibrant colored halwa that would make anyone go weak in the knees.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Beetroot - 2 medium sized , grated
  2. Carrots - 2 medium sized, grated
  3. Apple - 1 , grated
  4. Milk - 1 cup
  5. Sugar - 1 cup to 2 cups of (beets + carrot + apple)
  6. Ghee - 2 tbsp
  7. Cardamom powder - 1 tsp
  8. Almonds - 3 , slivered
  9. Rock salt - 1 small peck

Instructions

  1. In a pan, add the beetroot, carrot and apple. Add milk till it just immerses the other ingredients. Cover and cook on a low flame for 5-7 minutes, stirring in between.
  2. Once it's cooked, add the sugar and mix well. Keep stirring.
  3. Once it starts to become thick , add the ghee and mix well.
  4. Once the ghee starts to separate, turn off the heat.
  5. Garnish with almond shavings or any other nuts of your choice and serve.

Awesome recepie.. Beetroot taste doesn't come at all.. Very good for children's..
