ABOUT Spiced Tapioca flour Pudding RECIPE

An interesting , delicious dessert made using gluten free Tapioca flour pudding . Baking with gluten free flours is indeed challenging but definitely worth trying . This melt in mouth baked pudding also contains egg , butter , milk , soothing spices.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Tapioca flour 1+ 1/4 cup
  2. Large egg 1
  3. Brown sugar 1/2 cup + 4 tablespoons
  4. Salt 1/4 teaspoon
  5. Whole milk 1 cup
  6. Cardamom powder 1 teaspoon
  7. Cinnamon powder 1 tablespoon
  8. Ginger powder 1/2 teaspoon
  9. Clove powder 1/2 teaspoon
  10. Butter unsalted at room temperature 6 tablespoons
  11. Ghee 2 tablespoons
  12. Cooking oil 1/4 cup

Instructions

  1. Preheat cooker for 15 minutes in medium heat .
  2. Get ready with all the ingredients .
  3. Take a baking 9 inch round tin . Grease the tin completely with 2 tablespoons butter .
  4. Sprinkle 4 tablespoons brown sugar covering the base of the tin . Keep aside .
  5. In another bowl , whisk the egg .
  6. Add the remaining butter to the whisked egg .
  7. Add the sifted tapioca flour and salt .
  8. Add in the remaining brown sugar .
  9. Add the spice powders one by one .
  10. Add in the milk and oil .
  11. Mix all gently to a smooth lump free consistency cake batter .
  12. Pour in the smooth batter to the baking tin without disturbing the brown sugar layer .
  13. Drizzle ghee on top of the batter evenly .
  14. Bake for 30 minutes in medium heat or until a toothpick shows clean .
  15. Once baked , take the tin out from the cooker .
  16. Cool completely for an hour till room temperature .
  17. Loosen the sides of the tin with a sharp knife . Tilt the pudding on a clean plate .
  18. Brown sugar forms a glossy , sticky crust which adds the richness to the pudding .
  19. Spiced Tapioca flour pudding is ready .
  20. Cut and serve the pudding .
  21. Relish !
