ABOUT Hersheys choco filled Maamouls RECIPE

Maamouls are an ancient arabic sweet filled up by dates..i use to fill dates and choco syrup inside.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Semolina 80gms
  2. All Purpose flour 100gms
  3. Butter 150gms
  4. Baking powder 1/2tsp
  5. Dry yeast 20gms
  6. Cream cheese 40gms
  7. Rose essence 5ml
  8. Salt as 1/4 tsp
  9. Milk half cup
  10. Water 1cup
  11. For filling::
  12. Choco powder 50gms
  13. Chocolate Hershey syrup 20ml
  14. Avasi seeds 50gms
  15. Anjeer 40gms
  16. Walnuts 20gms
  17. Pistachio 50gms chopped

Instructions

  1. For dough preparation::take a large bowl, add semolina flour.
  2. Add Salt ,baking soda mix well, add cream cheese to it.
  3. Melt the Butter.
  4. Add melted butter into a bowl mix well with palms, the mixer should be soft and moist.
  5. Transfer maamoul mixture into another bowl, wrap it keep a side for 4 hours.
  6. After 4 hours take it out.
  7. Add milk and water and mix well, it should be like cookie dough.
  8. Transfer the dough into another bowl keep a side for 1 hour
  9. For filling ...Combine all the dry fruits in a bowl and mix well. Fry in a small pan and leave to cool.
  10. Transfer to a blender and grind till it forms a fine mixture.
  11. Add butter in it gives moisture, heat another bowl add butter and also add cocoa powder milk, keep stirring to avoid lumps.
  12. Once cocoa dough gets thick, turn off take Hershey choco fill put syrup into cup
  13. Add this Hershey syrup and cocoa mixture into dry fruits mixer mix well.
  14. Mix up well.
  15. Make small balls with palms, keep a side.
  16. Take maamoul dough, make small balls, stuff dry fruit mixture and cover well.
  17. Place into mould and press into flower like shape.
  18. Grease baking tray with butter.
  19. Transfer stuffed mammouls into baking tray should bake at 270 degree @20 mins
  20. Cut and garnish with pistachio on top of it
