ABOUT Rajgira Halva RECIPE

Delicious Healthily yum halva , a indian dessert prepared from Amaranth flour, perfect for goddess Durga Prasad (offering) and for people who are having falahar or fast. Easily prepared with very few ingredients but tastes divinely yummy

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Amaranth flour or Rajgira flour 1-2 cups
  2. Ghee 3/4th cup
  3. Sugar or jaggery
  4. Cardamom powder 1 to 2 pinches
  5. Chopped dry fruits 1 tablespoon
  6. Water or Milk 1 and 1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. Heat ghee in a pan and add Rajgira flour
  2. Saute on low heat till nice aroma comes and it changes colour
  3. Add water and mix well. Cook covered for few minutes .
  4. Now add sugar
  5. Add cardamom powder and dry fruits Mix well and cook covered till sugar dissolves
  6. Delicious halva is ready in minutes
  7. Garnish as you like and serve hot or cold . Relish it endlessly with family and friends.
