ABOUT Hariyanvi Tamatar Ki Chutney With Aloo Palak Tikki RECIPE

Tomatat chutney from Haryana is a delicious chutney recipe enrich with the goodness of tomatoes, health benefits of Garlic and hotness of red chilies . Chili Garlic tomato chutney can be served with main course or just have it with your favorite Indian bread.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Tamatar Ki Chutney:-
  2. Finely Chopped whole red chilies- 7 to 8 or to taste
  3. Finely Chopped tomatoes- 1 cup
  4. Finely Chopped Garlic- 1/4 cup
  5. Finely Chopped onion- 1/4 cup
  6. Chopped Curry Leaves- 8 to 10
  7. Chopped Coriander leaves - 1 tablespoon
  8. Cumin Powder- 1 tablespoon
  9. Asafoetida (heeng)- 1/2 teaspoon
  10. Turmeric Powder- 1/2 teaspoon
  11. Dry Mango Powder- 1 teaspoon
  12. Sugar- 1 teaspoon
  13. Red chili Powder to taste
  14. Salt to taste
  15. Oil- 1 tablespoon
  16. Aloo Palak Tikki:-
  17. Spinach - 250g
  18. Potato - 2 large Potato
  19. Onions - 1 large
  20. Green Chilli - 2
  21. Red Chilli Powder - 1/4 tablespoon
  22. roasted cumin powder - 1 table spoon
  23. salt as per taste
  24. Green coriander according to taste - a little oil

Instructions

  1. Tamatar Ki Chutney:- Heat oil in a pan add Asafoetida, turmeric powder and chopped garlic, saute on medium flame till garlic get cooked and raw smell of it went off completely.
  2. Add chopped onions cook for couple of minutes, till onion become translucent and turn little brown.
  3. Add chopped tomatoes, chopped dry red chilies, cumin powder and curry leaves, saute for 4 to 5 minutes till the tomatoes cooked properly and start leaving oil.
  4. Add chopped coriander leaves, sugar, salt, red chili powder and dry mango powder, saute for couple of minutes till the spices get cooked. Add 1/4 cup water cover the pan cook on low flame for 4 to 5 minutes.
  5. Once the spices get cooked and start leaving oil, switch off the flame and let it cool. Serve delicious Tomato chutney with your favorite snacks, like Tikki, Bread, Pakoda. You can also grind it to get fine consistency but I like it little bit chunky.
  6. Aloo Palak Tikki:- First of all, cut the spinach, wash and grind them in a mixer. Now take the masala by boiling the potatoes or take it.
  7. Cut the onions, green chilies and green coriander finely. Now mix spinach, chopped onion, green chillies, salt and all the spices in the mashed potatoes.
  8. Put nonstick pan on the heat and grease it with oil. Now fry the till it becomes golden on the pan by making a mix of tikki. Serve hot with hot tomato chutney.
