Ingredients Serving: 2
For Making Harissa Spice Paste:-
7-8 dried red chillies,soaked
6 cloves garlic
1 tablespoon coriander seeds
1 tablespoon fennel seeds
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
For Making Harissa Chicken Bake:-
2 chicken legs
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoon harissa paste
Salt to taste
3 tablespoon refined oil(for frying)
1/2 teaspoon refined oil(for greasing)
For Serving :-
2-3 sliced tomatoes
1-2 lemon wedges
For garnishing :-
A handful of fresh mint leaves
Instructions
1. For Making Harissa Chicken Paste:-Lightly dry roast coriander seeds and fennel seeds in a non-stick pan.
2. Grind the soaked red chillies in a mixer to a coarse paste by adding lightly roasted coriander seeds and fennel seeds followed by garlic.
3. Add olive oil, salt,and cumin seed powder and make smooth paste.
4. Harissa paste is ready to use.
5. For Making Harissa Chicken Bake :- Make 3-4 slits on the chicken legs using a sharp knife.
6. In a bowl, mix 2 tablespoon harissa paste with chicken followed by salt, lemon juice and mix well. Marinate for at least 2 hours.
7. Heat oil in a pan and place the marinated chicken in it and sear on a high flame.
8. Baste the chicken pieces with the leftover oil from the marination.
9. Cook evenly on all sides for 10 minutes and turn off the heat.
10. Place this chicken legs in a greased baking dish along with the cooked masala remains in the pan.
11. Pre-heat oven at 180°C and bake this chicken legs for 10 minutes.
12. When done, take them out from the oven and place them in a serving plate.
13. Garnish with fresh mint leaves.
14. Serve hot with sliced tomatoes and lemon.
15. Harissa Chicken bake is ready to eat.
