ABOUT Tomato Prunes Chutney RECIPE

Chutney made with tomato,prunes,amsotto(Bengal mango bar),raisin and day red chilly.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 large tomatoes
  2. 2 dry red chilly
  3. 8-10 raisins
  4. 1/4 piece amsotto(Bengal mango bar)
  5. 1 tsp dry coriander
  6. 1 slice of lemon
  7. 1/4 tsp salt
  8. 1/2 cup sugar
  9. 1/2 tsp tamarind paste
  10. 1/4 tsp ginger paste
  11. 1/4 tsp mustard seeds
  12. 2 prunes made into pieces

Instructions

  1. Heat 2tsp of olive oil in a flat pan.Add mustard seeds and dry red chilly.Saute it for sometime.
  2. Put the tomato pieces.Add salt.Cover with lid and cook for sometime.
  3. Add mango bar,raisins,ginger paste and cook on low flame.Add dry coriander powder,tamarind paste and lemon juice.
  4. Add sugar and pieces of prune.Cook on low flame.
  5. Add 1/4 cup of water and cook on low flame.
  6. Taste it,add little more sugar if required.Cook for 1-2 mins.Cool and serve.
