Its a beautiful fusion of Italian and South Indian recipe giving the entire dish its unique taste which in turn blends into your mouth. Its a must try for all to try this innovative and really tasty dish.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For batter black lentils( udad dal )-1/2 cup soak for 1 hour then grind it fine paste
  2. Rice Rawa-1 cup (soak it in 1 cup of water )
  3. Fusilli pasta-1 cup boiled
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Capsicum-1 cup chopped
  6. Tomato- 1 cup chopped
  7. Curry leaves-30 nos
  8. Coriander leaves chopped-1/2 cup
  9. Green Chilli-2 nos chopped
  10. Cheese grated-1/2 cup
  11. Oil-3 tbsp
  12. Mustard seeds-1 tsp
  13. Onion chopped-1 cup
  14. Hung curd-1/2 cup
  15. Asafoetida-1/2 tsp

Instructions

  1. In a bowl pour lentil paste add rawa and salt to taste,
  2. Add pasta , chopped tomato , capsicum, coriander leaves, chillies, Mix it like idli batter .
  3. Then heat a tawa, place ring mould add 1 tsp oil, add hing, mustard seeds, when the seeds start fluttering then
  4. Add curry leaves, chopped onions cook it for 1 minute then pour the
  5. Pasta batter, cook it for 5 minutes for one side
  6. Cover it and cook with low flame
  7. Then flipped it
  8. Then ready your uthapam
  9. For curd salsa heat a kadai fry curry leaves, mustard seeds ,hing, onions, chopped tomatoes and cook it for 2 minutes then add hung curd ,salt to taste, coriander leaves, chillies mix it well. then its ready to eat .
