ABOUT Masala Papad Tacos... RECIPE

Simple and easy to do tacos with one of the most commonly used condiment in our Country at meal times, be it lunch or dinner. Papads or poppadums as they are referred to as are available in many a varieties. I had made some papad tacos the other day for tea-time snack with cheese and chicken filling. That is when i hit upon this idea of making masala papad tacos for the extra remaining ones. They turned out so yummy and i shared these with my neighbourhood ladies. You can add or omit any of the ingredients according to your choice. Happy Partying with the Leftovers!

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Leftover roasted papads 5-6
  2. Tomatoes finely chopped 2
  3. Cucumbers finely chopped 2
  4. green chillies 3
  5. Onions Finely chopped 1
  6. Capsicum finely chopped 1
  7. Spring onions green part finely chopped 1/2 cup
  8. Salt 1 tsp
  9. Red chilli flakes 1 tsp
  10. Lemon juice 1 tbsp
  11. Chaat masala 1 tsp
  12. Coriander leaves finely chopped 2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Take a deep mixing bowl and throw in all the chopped veggies in it.
  2. Stir in the mentioned dry spices too.
  3. Mix well and use immediately in roasted papads.
  4. It has to be done just before eating because the watery vegetables tend to make it soggy.
  5. For the shaping of the papads, wrap them around a cone or a katori and then roast.
  6. Or you can very well shape them with your hands giving it a taco look.
