Ragi is very helpfull in weightloss.It has high amount of dietry fibre,lowers blood pressure and activates insulin .so ideal for diabetics also.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Ragi flour 1cup.
  2. Samolina 2table spoon .
  3. Curd 1/2cup.
  4. Soda bicarb 1tea spoon.
  5. Water as needed.

Instructions

  1. Dry roast samolina on low flame.
  2. Take ragi flour in a bowl,add samolina and curd mix well.add water to desired consistency.add soda bicarb,mix well
  3. Leave the batter for 10 minutes.
  4. Grease idli mould.put idli in mould and steam idlis in a microwave on high power for 3minites.(before steaming boil water for 7minites in the steamer.)
  5. Check idlis by inserting a tooth pick.if required steam idlis for one more minute.
  6. If you are using a stove for making idlis ,steam for 15minutes on medium heat.
  7. Take out and serve with peanut chutney.
