Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 2 tbsp ghee
  2. 1/2 cup thick poha
  3. 3 cups milk
  4. 2 tsp raisins
  5. 6-7 cashews
  6. 1/3 cup sugar or 1/4 cup jaggery
  7. 1/4 tsp cardamom powder

Instructions

  1. In a large kadai heat ghee and roast 5 cashew, 2 tsp raisins until golden brown. Keep it aside
  2. In same pan, roast poha over low heat until golden brown
  3. Add milk and mix well. Boil over low heat until poha softens
  4. if using jaggery, melt jaggery in 1/4 cup water and sieve for any impurities. Add jaggery water to poha. if using sugar , directly add sugar to poha milk. Mix well
  5. Cook over low heat until it starts thickening. Add cardamom powder. Mix well. Switch off
  6. Add fried raisins and cashews. Serve hot or cold as desired
