Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Vermicelli - 130gms
  2. Onions - 1 big
  3. Potato - 1
  4. Cumin seeds - 1/4 tspn
  5. Green Chillies - 2
  6. Peanuts (optional) - 2 tspn
  7. Chowmein masala - 1/2 tspn
  8. Pepper powder (if dont have chowmein masala) - 1/2 tspn
  9. Refined oil - 4 tspn
  10. Salt
  11. Water - 2 cup

Instructions

  1. Heat refined oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, green chilli and allow to crackle.
  2. Add chopped onions, peanuts and potato and saute till they become soft.
  3. Break the long strands of vermicelli and add in the sauteed onions. Saute for a while.
  4. Add 2 cups of water and salt, cover with a lid so that vermicelli soaks all the water.
  5. Remove lid after 3 to 4 min, add pepper powder or chowmein masala and mix well.
  6. Check if vermicelli has become soft, switch off the flame
  7. Vermicelli noodles is ready. Serve with tomato ketchup.
