ABOUT Chhit ruti or Chhit pitha RECIPE

Its a wonderful net texture rice crepe originally from Bangladesh with delicious taste.This pitha or ruti goes well with meat curry.But we Bengali people love to serve it with dum aloo.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Rice flour...2cup
  2. Egg...1(optional)
  3. Spinach paste...2tspn(for green colour)
  4. Salt
  5. Ginger paste...1tspn
  6. Pepper powder or green chilli paste...1tspn
  7. Water to make batter
  8. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Make a batter of rice flour,egg,salt,pepper powder.
  2. Blend it well mixing with water.For green colour add spinach paste.
  3. Take a bottle, make some holes on top & fill it with batter.
  4. Brush oil in a hot pan & spread the batter from bottle.Cover it & let it cook till crisp.
  5. Similarly make the green roti.
  6. Serve it with meat curry or dum aloo.
