Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 250 gm.flour(maida)
  2. 30 gm castor or any powdered sugar
  3. 5 gm salt (skip if using salted butter (
  4. 5 gm instant dry yeast
  5. 3 Egg
  6. 125 gm.butter softened at room temperature
  7. 1 tsp vanilla extract
  8. 1 egg for egg wash
  9. For orange glaze
  10. 1/2 cup orange juice
  11. 3 tbsp Icing Sugar
  12. Sliced almonds for garnishing

Instructions

  1. In a.mixing bowl mix Maida.,sugar,salt and instant yeast and mix well .
  2. Now make a.well.and add eggs
  3. Now knead the dough with Dough hook if using stand mixer or can also knead with hand
  4. Now add butter in steps and try to incorporate in dough.
  5. Now place the dough in greased bowl and let it rise at room temperature for 25-30 mins
  6. Now cling wrap and keep in fridge for 12-14 hrs for old rise
  7. After 12-14 hrs take it out on kitchen top and divide the dough in two parts
  8. Now divide each part in three division.
  9. Take care that butter is not melted or it will become difficult to handle
  10. Now make three logs of each part
  11. Now make braid of each part
  12. Let it again rise for 1 hr
  13. After it rises brush with beaten egg .
  14. Bake in a.preheated oven at 180 degree for 20 -25 mins .
  15. Cool on cooling rack.
  16. Now.for.orange glaze mix sugar and.orange juice.
  17. Brush this.mixtire on.bread .
  18. Sprinkle.some toasted almond slices for garnishing.
  19. Serve hot.
