ABOUT Pasta bake RECIPE

Italian pasta, baked in american style with cheese, chicken and veggies.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Boneless chicken (vegetarians can omit this) - 200 gm
  2. Chopped bell peppers (red, green, yellow) - 1/2 cup
  3. Chopped garlic - 1 tbsp
  4. Chopped green chillies - 1 tbsp
  5. Chopped carrots - 1/2 cup
  6. Boiled pasta - 1.5 cup
  7. Oregano as per taste
  8. Chilli flakes as per taste
  9. Thyme/rosemary as per taste
  10. Grated cheese (cheddar, mozzarella) as per taste
  11. Refined oil/olive oil as required
  12. Salt as per taste
  13. Butter - 2 tbsp
  14. Maida - 2 tbsp
  15. Milk - 1 cup
  16. Pepper as per taste

Instructions

  1. Heat the pan, add oil. Add the chopped garlic and chillies. Saute for a while then add the chicken pieces. Once the chicken is browned slightly add the chopped vegetables, salt and all the spices. Cook till done.
  2. Add the boiled pasta and keep aside. To make the white sauce, heat a pan, add the butter. Once it melts, add the maida and keep stirring.
  3. Once the maida is cooked, slowly add the milk while stirring. Add salt and pepper. Once it is thick, and bubbles, switch off the flame.
  4. Now, to assemble, grease a baking tray, mix the cooked pasta into the white sauce. Put this into the baking tray. Spread grated cheese, some oregano and chilli flakes. Bake for 20 minutes in a preheated oven at 200 degree centigrade. Cut and serve.

can I skip oregano and Rosemary
