ABOUT Nellore Malai Khaja RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Koya 250 g
  2. Milk 50 ml
  3. Refined flour 150 g
  4. Ghee 30 g
  5. Baking soda 1/2 tsp
  6. Sugar powder 1 tsp
  7. Sugar 2 cups
  8. Water 2 cups
  9. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, add koya, ghee and mix well.
  2. Add milk little by little to the mixture and mix well.
  3. Now add baking soda, sugar powder and mix well for 5 minutes.
  4. Add refined flour to the mixture and knead well to a dough consistency.
  5. Make small balls to desired shape.
  6. In a pan, add sugar and water to sugar syrup.
  7. Heat oil in a pan and fry the balls.
  8. Put the fried balls to the sugar syrup and leave for 2 minutes.
  9. Take out the khaja balls and plate them.
