Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. tender pumpkin leaves 15-20
  2. pumpkin chopped 1 cup
  3. torai or ridged gourd 2 chopped
  4. salt
  5. pumpkin flowders 5-6 chopped
  6. milk powder 2 tablespoon
  7. mustard seeds 1 tsp
  8. mustard oil 2 tablespoon
  9. red chilli 2

Instructions

  1. devain the pumpkin leaves and keep only the green part
  2. chop them
  3. in a pressure cooker cook chopped pumpkin leaves,chopped pumpkin,chopped pumpkin flower,chopped torai and salt till 2 whistle
  4. mash them roughly
  5. in a pan heat oil and add mustard seeds and red chilli
  6. when splutter add the cooked saag discarding the remaining water from the saag in a bowl
  7. cook the saag for 2 mins till all water evaporates
  8. now in the saag water add milk powder and add it to the saag and cook in high flame for another 3-4 mins
  9. serve hot with rice or roti
