Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Mutton - 250gms
  2. Ginger garlic paste - 4tsp
  3. Onions - 2
  4. Tomato - 2
  5. Potato - 1
  6. Drumstick - 1
  7. Grated coconut - 1cup
  8. Tumeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  9. Chilli powder - 2tsp
  10. Corainder powder - 2tsp
  11. Fennel Seeds - 1tsp
  12. Cinamon - 1
  13. Cloves - 2
  14. bay leaves - 1
  15. Curry leaves - one full hand
  16. Corainder leaves - one full hand
  17. Salt - As required
  18. Oil - 2 tsp
  19. Water - 1 cup

Instructions

  1. In a pressure cooker add mutton,ginger garlic paste,salt, tumeric powder and water. Pressure cook for 5 - 10 whistles(according to mutton texture)
  2. Grind the grated coconut and fennel seeds to a smooth paste
  3. In a pan add oil followed by bay leaf,cinamon,cloves and fennel seeds and curry leaves
  4. Add onions and fry till light brown color changes
  5. Add ginger garlic paste saute till raw smell disappears
  6. Add tomatoes , salt and turmeric powder and close the pan to make the tomatoes mashy
  7. Open the lid and add chilli powder , corainder powder , garam masala powder and add little water and allow them to boil for some time..
  8. Now add the potato and drumstick along with this gravy and cook them for few mins
  9. Now add the cooked mutton to the pan and mix well.. it should boil for few mintues
  10. Lastly add coconut paste and boil it for 5 mins.. now the gravy will get thick consistency..
  11. Finally add corainder leaves and serve hot with rice or roti
