ABOUT Ulundu Bonda RECIPE

Healthy easy to make urad dal bonda.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Urad dal 1/2 cup
  2. 1 1/2 tesp raw rice
  3. 1/2 " piece ginger
  4. 1 green chilli
  5. 1 /4 tesp asafoetida powder
  6. salt as per taste
  7. Water 1 tbsp
  8. Oil to shallow fry

Instructions

  1. Soak urad dal and rice for 30 minutes.
  2. Drain water add it a to a mixer jar,along with ginger and chilli.
  3. Grind to smooth paste,.
  4. Remove add salt ,asafetida,soda,mix well.
  5. Place a deep cooking pan with oil on low flame.
  6. Have a bowl of water to wet your hand.
  7. Wet your hand ,take a little batter make a ball and drop it in the oil.
  8. Fry few at a time,till they are golden brown.
  9. Remove serve hot with chutney.
